Mark Randolph “Randy” Metheny Sr.

Mark Randolph “Randy” Metheny Sr., 68, of Winder, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Randy was a lifelong resident of Georgia. He was the son of the late Bradford L. Martin and Mary L. Teston Martin. Randy worked as a truck driver and flooring installer by trade and was a hardworking man who loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Metheny, and his two sons, Mark Randolph Metheny Jr. and John Thomas Metheny.

Randy is survived by his children, Martin Metheny (Jennifer) of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Emily Metheny of Braselton, Georgia; his brother, Brady Martin (Casey) of Winder, Georgia; his grandchildren, Zoe, Corona, and Natalio; and his great-grandson, Brantley. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Ashley (Chris), Michael (Gracie), Chance (Krystal), and Alyssa, along with many other family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Randy’s humor and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was never one to take life too seriously and was always quick to forgive. His ability to make others laugh, let things go, and enjoy life will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at a later date.
